Three complete and three fragmentary stone axes were found at the Miami Circle. University of Miami geologist Jackie Dixon and her colleagues conducted a sourcing study that demonstrated that the stone axes are probably from the Macon, Georgia area, and not from Central America or the Caribbean as some originally speculated.
