Feature
17 is located at the eastern edge of the Miami Circle. It is comprised of
two joined basins, with the smaller, tail-like basin extending to the south
from its larger, more rectangular counterpart. The excavators noted distinctive
vertical tool marks on the walls of the basin. Seven smaller, round holes are
cut into the bottom of Feature 17. They are arranged in a roughly linear fashion,
forming a slight arc within the bottom of the basin features.
