The exhibit of artifacts from the Emanuel Point Ship on display
at the Bowden Building in downtown historic Pensacola is attracting many
visitors. This portion of the display features iron, lead, and stone ammunition
from the stern of the ship.

A full-scale reproduction of the ship's rudder was built for the
exhibit. The actual rudder, which became unshipped when the vessel wrecked,
was found near the sternpost, where it once hung.

Recently discovered in the bow was this woven matting of unknown
function. Found in association with the ship's galley, the fabric may have
been used as packing or storage material. Portions will be sent for botanical
analysis to determine the origin of the material, and to better understand
its use.
