The 103-foot iron and steel structure sits inland, a rear-range light to mark a section of the 20-foot deep channel west of Dog Island that was used to guide lumber ships through East Pass between Dog Island and St. George Island. The reconstructed keeper’s house features exhibits and a gift shop. A museum is open Thursday through Sunday, and visitors may climb on Saturdays and Sundays. A picnic and playground area is open dawn to dusk.
