Henry Flagler's Whitehall
In 1902 Henry Flagler commissioned John Carrere and Thomas Hastings to build Whitehall, his 55-room Beaux Arts estate in Palm Beach. In December, this National IHstoric landmark will open the Flagler Kenan Pavilion, the first public Beaux Arts-style structure built in the U.S. in six decades, and new home to Flagler's private railcar.

Lakeland's Lake Mirror Promenade
The Lake Mirror Promenade in Lakeland is Florida's most significant example of the City Beautiful movement architectural period and style. The recent installaion of public art, Tribute to the Volunteer Spirit, has helped to fulfill the vision of plans made by Lakeland's civic leaders in the 1920s.
